This year's celebration at the prestigious Huis ter Duin will include stunning views of the North Sea and the coastal beach, a delicious traditional Thanksgiving turkey dinner, and the opportunity to meet new and old friends—something we can always be thankful for.
For those who would like to make it a weekend away, Noordwijk has a wide range of hotels to fit every budget, all within walking distance of one another. Guests at CCN Thanksgiving dinner who want to stay over have a broad selection of hotels. Those who elect to remain at Huis ter Duin can take advantage of fine accommodation at a discounted rate offered by the hotel, including breakfast. Noordwijk is accessible by car and public transportation. There is no train station in Noordwijk, but Leiden Central Station is nearby, and there is frequent bus service from Leiden Station to the Hotel. Schedules and routes are on the 9292 website. FAQ’s
What is the ticket price? The price is € 85,00 per adult and € 33,00 per child (ages 4-12). Children under 4 are free. Please indicate the age of your child on the ticket form.
How can I pay, or can I pay at the event? Payment is due at the time of reservation and can be made without surcharge via IDEAL or Bancontact. If you prefer to pay by credit card, please note that there is a surcharge.
I waited too long, and now the event is full! Can I put my name on a cancellation list? Absolutely! Please email the Events team at ccneventsnl@gmail.com with your details, including your name, contact info, and the number of attendees.
Do you have vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free options? Yes, there are options for vegetarians. If you have specific dietary requirements, please let us know on the form or send an email to ccneventsnl@gmail.com and in the subject line, Attention Léon van Eeghem (Event Coordinator)
Will there be a kids' menu? Some dishes will be aimed specifically at children, but otherwise, they will be able to enjoy the same meal as their parents.
May I bring people who are not Canadian? Please do! As Canadians, we take pride in being welcoming. How wonderful it will be to share a bit of our culture with all the people for whom we are thankful.
Are beverages included in the ticket cost? Thanks to generous sponsors, a welcome drink and a glass of wine with dinner will be included. There is also a cash bar with beer, wine, spirits, and other items such as juices, pop and specialty coffees.
If we have a group, can we sit together? Yes! You can reserve a table (up to 12 people), or please indicate the names of those joining you, and we will do our best to ensure that you are seated together.
Is there a dress code for the evening? This year, the dress code is semi-formal.
Does the hotel and banquet room have accessible entrances and other facilities? Yes. Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin welcomes all guests. The hotel has ramps at the entrance, wheelchair-accessible bathrooms, and lifts available to access the Keizerzaal.
Is there parking at the hotel? Yes. Parking is available at the hotel at a discounted rate of € 7,25. Take a parking ticket and have the front desk validate it when leaving. If you choose to stay at the hotel, parking is included in the room cost.
Do I have to stay at the Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin? No. You may choose from plenty of hotels in and around Noordwijk. Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin has provided a special room discount, including breakfast, for those who prefer to stay there. If you want to stay at the hotel, please email ccneventsnl@gmail.com with Attention to Léon van Eeghem (Event coordinator). Léon will let you know the cost and arrange a reservation for you.
Are there pet-friendly rooms? Yes, dogs are welcome in Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin, and specific rooms are available. For more information, please contact the hotel directly or see I Love My Pet. Please note that these rooms book quickly, so reserve today!
If I am unable to attend, can I get a refund? Getting a full refund before September 15th, 2024, would be possible. Between September 15th and September 27th, a 50% refund is possible if you cannot attend. No refund is available after September 28th, as that is the cutoff date for the hotel to place the food order. If you are unable to attend but are not in time for a refund, it will be possible for you to transfer your tickets. Ticket transfer is subject to the Canadian Club of the Netherlands being informed before the transfer. Due to security issues in the past, we strongly advise you not to respond to offers online to sell tickets. Those offers are often fraudulent, and if you purchase a ticket outside our ticketing procedure, your ticket may not be recognized or accepted when you arrive at the hotel.
